Carl Burling is a qualified engineer with an engineering and project management background in the energy and gas industries before he became involved in property investment over two decades ago.
He founded Provincia Property Management(PPM) in 2009. PPM is a property investment and management business specialising in value-add residential and commercial opportunities, and has managed hundreds of projects.
Carl has a wealth of practical experience in the challenges and opportunities presented by property – including building works, leasing, property management, and directing sales programmes.
Carl is married with three children. Outside of work he enjoys the outdoors, snow sports, water sports and competitive yacht racing.

Malcolm McDougall has over 30 years’ experience in senior governance positions and was a founding director of the listed company Property For Industry (PFI). He is also the current Chairman of Villa Maria Estate and a director of 33 Villa Maria related companies.
Malcolm has co-founded a number of other investment businesses including Willis Bond & Co in 1988, Pencarrow Private Equity in 1993, McDougall Reidy & Co in 2007 and Direct Property Fund Ltd in 2008, which merged with Property for Industry in 2013 creating the currently now listed $1.4 billion property investment company.
He has a Master of Commerce (Hons) from Lincoln University.
Jenson Varghese is one of our 7 foundation investors. As an independent director of Provincia Property Fund his role on the board is to represent the interests of shareholders, as well as fulfilling his duties as a director.
Jenson is the New Zealand Regional Manager at MR Cagney responsible for managing a multidisciplinary team of urban planners, urban designers, transport and public transport specialists.
Jenson has a history of successfully managing and delivering on a wide range of high-profile transport projects in New Zealand and Australia.
Jenson and his wife have a young son that keeps him on his toes and doesn’t leave much time for anything else at the moment!
Michael was a very early Provincia investor and is now our largest shareholder. As an independent director of Provincia Property Fund his role on the board is to represent the interests of shareholders, as well as fulfilling his duties as a director.
Michael has been a real estate investor for over 20 years, and also trades US equities and options for a privately-owned hedge fund. Through his software company he has helped build global technology companies such as Nutanix (Nasdaq: NTNX) and helped the New Zealand Government implement Kiwisaver. He currently heads up the global cloud and database-as-a-service architecture and engineering team for Nutanix.
Jack Revill is co-founder of Provincia Property Fund. He is a successful property investor, manages the Fund’s properties and the sourcing and due diligence of new acquisitions, and is a shareholder in the Manager.
Jack oversees the property management team at PPM and works with clients in negotiating leases and acquiring new property.
Outside of work Jack is a competitive swimmer. He likes to say he’s been swimming since he was born!
He joined Devonport Swim club when he was 8 and was also a surf life guard at Piha. He competes in ocean swim races such as the Beach Series and Ocean Swim series.

Brandon Wilcox is an experienced marketer with a corporate background that includes marketing manager at Cadbury, national sales manager at Levi’s, sales & marketing manager at Red Seal Natural Health, product manager at Wella, and product manager at Tip Top Ice Cream.
He then founded Evolve marketing agency in 2000 where he became an expert in digital marketing.
With an architect father and property investor mother, it is only natural that Brandon has a passion for property. He is an experienced commercial property investor and an investor in Provincia Property Fund.
Brandon completed a BCom at Auckland University with a double major in marketing and finance. His favourite paper was Investment Analysis.
Outside of work Brandon runs marathons (16 so far), loves mountain biking and competitive sea swimming, and is an avid motorsport enthusiast.
Back in the day he raced a Ford Escort Mexico rally car and likes to say he was talented enough to compete at the top of the field but not experienced enough to keep it on the road!
